HAPPY MONDAY: FEELING BLUE

No, not really feeling blue, well besides having to cancel a roadtrip we had planned. Things happen, plans change- no biggie (I'm trying to convince myself, was really looking forward to it). It may seem that I'm doing alot lately, its just that summer is so short and you have to maximize this sucker. Before you know it, we'll be in boots and tights all over again

Goodness me, I know I wasn't the only one who spent the past week and this weekend sweating glistening glowing (think positive) and I'm not talking about an after workout glow. It appears most of the East Coast was under the heat wave spell. Perfect time for a light as air white dress with minimal accessories (did I mention I got this dress for $5 clearance). I also did my bestest to stay indoors and glued to my AC. I'm not sure thats a healthy combo, extreme heat to cold AC, I wonder if that's whats got me feeling a little bit under the weather, when will I learn? Anyhoo, here's wishing you all a good one, it's supposed to be much cooler now.

Seriously the best band, best performance I watched during JazzFest. Even as we headed out, could here so many people saying the same thing. So fun, so high energy, if you happen to find out that they're gonna be performing anywhere near you, run and check them out. Shocked that I had never even heard of them prior to this. They are a multicultural, multilingual ( I heard Creole, Spanish, French, Arabic, English) group hailing from Montreal. They mix Reggae, hiphop, jazz, zouk, dancehall, funk, so seamlessly.

I hate to single out any single member cos they were all great but this chick right here, Meduza (ALgerian roots), she's a total bad-ass (and rocking an even more badass new haircut), by the time the show was over, I was certain I was hooked on her voice, her vibe, her energy, she killed it.
